Founders' Daily Quote: 19 Sept 08

"The ordaining of laws in favor of one part of the nation, to the prejudice and oppression of another, is certainly the most erroneous and mistaken policy. An equal dispensation of protection, rights, privileges, and advantages, is what every part is entitled to, and ought to enjoy."

--Benjamin Franklin (Emblematical Representations, Circa 1774); Reference: The Works of Benjamin Franklin, Sparks, ed. (457)

This would be a wonderful country to live in if the government you left for us did not have so many holes in it. The corruption of the servants has become so severe that we cannot even talk to them let alone convince them to change their minds. They do not keep the oaths they take to serve as representatives for us.

Do you remember the Boston Tea Party? Well, they are taxing us way more than that 1%! It is almost 50% for those that produce goods, and the people who do not want to work or make as much money demand that they get to grab some of that money. I am no longer recognizing my beloved country. But thanks for trying...
